Sonic Youth Star Captures Occupy Wall Street Demonstrations On Film

Sonic Youth star Lee Ranaldo is helping to chronicle the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York by posting snaps and sounds of the anti-big business activists in action on the group's website.

The guitarist is among a group of celebrities who have visited the frontline of the campaign for better pay and employment in the three weeks since it launched and he admits he's fascinated by what the movement is becoming.

Introducing the first of his photos, he writes, "Living down in lower Manhattan has been pretty wild for the last decade, with the occupation of Zuccotti Park/Liberty Plaza being only the latest happening of note.

"Ive been witness to many of the daily marches up to and back from City Hall and down to the site a number of times. What follows are, for now, merely some photos. I have a great sound recording Im going to try and figure out how to post as well."
