Food festivals: Cancun plans its first food fest in March - Sun-Sentinel (blog)
Food festivals are a strong tourism draw worldwide, and Mexicos Cancun is now planning one.
The First Annual International Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival is set for March 15 to 18, featuring celebrity chefs, wine and spirit producers and some of Mexicos best cuisine.
Special guest for the inauguraledition: Spainsrenowned chef, Ferran Adria.
The firstfestival is slated tofeature about 30 events and chefs from throughout the Americas and Spain.
Besides Adria, top chefs slated to attend include from the United States: Ingrid Hoffman, Jacques Pepin, Aaron Sanchez, Marcella Valladolid; from Chile: Cristin Correa; from Canada: Jerome Ferrer, Normand Laprise, Daniel Vezina; from Peru: Pedro Schiaffino, and from Mexico: Paulina Abascal, Christian Bravo, Sergio Camacho, Aquiles Chvez, Arturo Fernndez, Miguel Garca, Paola Garduo, Guillermo Gonzlez, Federico Lpez, Francisco Mndez, Benito Molina, Ricardo Muoz Zurita, Edgar Nuez, Enrique Olvera, Bruno Oteiza, Patricia Quintana, Carmen Ramrez, Alejandro Ruiz, Roberto Sols, Jonatan Gmez, Jr MerinoJos Ramn Castillo,Enrique Farjeat.
