Meet celebrities at ntv7's Yuan Carnival

YUAN Carnival 2011 will be held at SJK (C) Yong Peng in Yong Peng tomorrow and on Sunday at 10am.

The community event is organised by ntv7 to reach out to faithful viewers throughout the country.

Taiwanese hip hop/rock group Magic Power will be performing on both days. They will also be having an autography session with fans.


Local singer Nick Chung will be belting out his songs tomorrow.

Visitors can take part in a meet-and-greet session with the top six finalists from the reality programme, The Perfect Gentleman, which is shown on ntv7 every Sunday at 6 pm.

The finalists are Wilson Choo, Jake You, John Lee, Joel Sih, William Joey Lewis, and Kong Jie.


Local singer and actress Yise Loo will perform on Sunday.

The main cast of MediaCorp's Kampong Ties -- Ann Kok, Yvonne Lim, Zheng Geping, Shaun Chen and Ng Hui -- will make an appearance on Sunday. The drama series airs on ntv7, Mondays to Thursdays at 10 pm.

Newscasters Peh Kien Min and Lee Siad Huey of ntv7's Mandarin news programme will be at the school to meet viewers.


Kyan, Suki, Angeline, and Wayne of One FM will also be taking to the stage.

There will be free workshops and career tips by feng shui expert Louis Loh.

Visitors can also learn about environmental conservation by participating in activities such as the art and craft workshop which uses recyclable items, postcard DIY and wall painting at ntv7's "Go Green" booth.

Those who have dreams of appearing on television, can visit the ntv7 news team booth to audition for positions as Chinese, English, and Malay news presenters and hosts. Shortlisted candidates will be groomed and taught all they need to know.

Visitors will also get to meet Chinese cartoon character Master Q.

Youngster will have the chance to meet Inazuma Eleven, who will be making a special appearance.

Visitors stand to win lucky draw prizes worth more than RM22,000, including holiday packages and electronic products.

Yuan Carnival promises plenty of fun and exciting activities on stage and at booths, including karaoke and dance competitions, fun games and quizzes and food, of course.
