A jury of seven women and five men delivered a "not guilty" verdict to Casey Anthony in the murder case of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony. Many were stunned that Anthony managed an acquittal in the case -- celebrities included. Dozens of celebs weighed in on their thoughts about Anthony with most believing she should have been found guilty.
Kim Kardashian was one of the most vocal critics of Casey Anthony's trial.
"WHAT!!!!???!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!! I am speechless!!!" Kardashian tweeted after the Tuesday afternoon verdict.
Many called out Kardashian for her comments because her father, the late Robert Kardashian, was on the defense team that helped acquit OJ Simpson in his 1995 double murder case. Kardashian understood the comments, but she said she's also allowed to have an opinion.
"Reading the comments here &its nuts people think just bc I was close to the OJ trial I can't have my own opinion on the Casey Anthony case?"
Comedian Roseanne Barr was one of the most vocal critics of the Anthony verdict on Twitter. Barr spent much of the afternoon tweeting about the case and verbally sparring with anyone who disagreed with her.
"Let's all remember how much we cared about this one little girl and try to help all little abused kids even more now," she tweeted right before the verdict.
However, her tweets devolved into a rant after Anthony was found innocent.
"our injustice system--criminals and idiots rule!" Barr added. "i'm getting a tshirt that says: CASEY KILLED CAYLEE."
Jessica Alba -- mother of Honor, 2, and another one on the way -- expressed her confusion and sadness over the verdict Tuesday evening.
"Following the Casey Anthony trial was nauseating but the verdict is revolting," Alba said.
Good Charlotte's Benji Madden has a bit of a different view on Anthony's future.
"Casey Anthony looks Crazy man. like real Crazy. like street rat Krazy. Kray Kray. 100$ says she moves to LA in 30 days or less," he tweeted.
"HOW LONG U give Casey Anthony?! say she get's alot of Attention 4a few months, then when it dies down she loses it&confesses #streetRATkrazy"
Singer and actress Mandy Moore grew up in Anthony's hometown of Orlando, so she took a special interest in the case.
"Woah! Shocked about the verdict in the casey anthony trial! Thought she was guilty for sure! Either way, tragic story...." she tweeted. "i'm from orlando and have been hooked on the trial the last few weeks. the defense team was abysmal! this is shocking! poor, poor caylee."
"i thought the prosecution was stellar, obv not enough to convince the jury tho. how does that family come together again after all of this?"
New mom Christina Applegate also looked the not guilty verdict through the eyes of a mother.
"I look into my baby's eyes and I can't imagine harming her not physically, emotionally not mentally,1 who does is a monster, a free monster," she wrote.
