Vic govt obsessed with celebrities, oppn

Victoria's Opposition says plans for a Jamie Oliver-style ministry of food program show the state government's obsessed with celebrities.

Health Minister David Davis will announce a 40 million dollar program today, including a healthy eating advice hotline and a healthy living program similar to the British celebrity chef's ministry of food concept.

Opposition health spokesman Gavin Jennings says the government's repacking programs it had dumped since winning office, like Labor's Go For Your Life initiative and they're chasing celebrities in a bid to attract attention.
